BURUSHASKI MINASHING [KISER] - LORIMER Page 114 to 137
The Gessar epic is the only one which is familiar in the Russia, Mongolia, China, all the valleys of the Tibetan plateau including Baltistan, Nepal and Bhutan. It is the longest as well as the largest epic in the world of mythology. The entire epics are existing on the tongue of the storytellers and the books in the world like Mahabharata, Shahnama Firdosi, Mahao-masa, Gul-ghamish and so on could not compete collectively to the Gessar Saga. The Hero of this epic was actually the peer of the world of Shamanism and animism believed to be the son of the celestial beings, who demised in the heaven and reborn on earth to defeat the demons was known in the Tibetan mountain communities as Bon god, who has the knowledge of the magic and mimes art that later on commemorates every time and every where by the Chanters in the mountain communities on the Tibetan Mesa as the cultural heritage. This epic has a great value in terms of human ancient history, ethnic transposition, linguistic roots and the Tibetan plateau proved to be a culturally “Y” junction among other civilisations of the Yangsheo, Korgan, Indus and Mesopotamia etc. The theory of reincarnation first time introduced and propagated, while the first volume of the Gissar epic (Birth Event) was composing by the nomadic Shamans and initiating to Chant among the people as ritual of their locally fashioned creeds.
